LOL. I never even heard of this lady. Now I'm hearing all about this lady. I listened to a few blips (??) clips (??) of the comedy routine on the radio. It's probably my personal taste, but I just didn't think she was funny. It's the litmus test for every comedian. You gotta make people laugh. Am I outraged? Sort of. Who wants to listen to a comedy routine that's not funny? It was a dinner at the White House. I hope the food was good! Otherwise, the whole evening for those who attended would have been a complete waste of time. Outraged by what Ms. Wolf said? Not the little blips I heard. WHY?? God Bless America. In another country this woman might have been thrown into prison or something even worse could have happened to her. Michelle Wolf is living proof that America is a free country. I think that's a point worth noting. I think it's the main point worth noting! I mean ... she didn't break any laws or anything! (Journal Entry for April 30, 2018.)

This happens also in our country, no censorship, this is what I call freedom.

I'm not sure what "label" would be placed on me ~ "conservative", "liberal", "basket case" ~ but I do know that I have grown up in America exercising my freedom of speech. To be free to speak means others are free to ignore you, disagree with you, get outraged by your statements, etc. But it doesn't mean they can cut off your tongue!! Of course, there are such things as lying and slandering a person's good reputation. That's not free speech and the person who does such things knows that it isn't. That's an act of malice. But, in a free country, we have laws to deal with that. No matter how distasteful I may find a person's comments, I'd much rather they speak their minds. WHY? Because I'm not a mind reader and neither is anybody else. The Bible says "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." So if you're a person with a dark heart, please speak out openly. That way I don't have to guess about you and what you're thinking and I know to steer clear of you! They say “It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt.” But I say if you have sinister or insidious thoughts, please don't be silent! Tell us so we know to run away from you!

@cmoneyspinner It's not different here, we have freedom of speech, you surely do not go to jail for something you have said in public, unless you say something to hurt the reputation of someone. When people fear to express their feelings and ideas, that is not freedom. It means there is something wrong.

No, she didn't break any laws... but she is a degenerate and she offended a lot of decent people. This speech further highlighted the liberal hypocrisy in America. Liberals can say anything, and nobody can criticise, but conservative people can be picked apart for every reasonable thing they say.

I didn't find her routine particularly funny although there were a few moments that made me laugh. I think she crossed the line a few times, especially regarding Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I'm no fan of Sarah's, in fact she infuriates me the way she lies for Trump every day at the White House briefings and treats the reporters with such a condescending manner but that doesn't justify the personal attacks against her. However, as bad as that was nothing that was said was a fraction as bad as the things Donald says about literally hundreds of people on a regular basis and has been doing so for decades. I don't know why there's such a double standard. He can say or do anything and get away with it but if a comedian or anyone else dares to say anything about him or one of his minions it's a capital offense.
