The summer is approaching in many parts of the world..Do you have a favorite summer activity?

As warm weather has arrived in many parts of the world, what warm weather activity do you enjoy the most? As for me, it would be swimming. That is my favorite thing to do when the weather is warm. I also enjoy grilling outside, barbecuing and picnics. Gardening or planting flowers is also fun. What do you like to do the most in warmer weather?

@JudyEv No, we do have alot of bugs..but they are not near the water.. The lake itself doesn't have a lot of bugs around it. It tends to be breezy down there as well..and mosquitos don't like that.

@snowy22315 That sounds nice. Do you have excessive problems with mosquitoes? That would be the drawback here if you lived by a lake.

I can't say that I have a favorite, as I just enjoy being outside and having fun with good people.
This summer and fall I will be going camping (once in the summer (June) and again in the fall (September).
In July I will be going to an event in Ohio with a couple of friends of mine.
I may or may not end up swimming any this summer, though I do love to swim.

@snowy22315 It is definitely a "cheating" way to exercise. I used to love swimming every summer, but I swim maybe once or twice every three years now.
There is a swimming pool in my neighborhood, but it's quite costly to join.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I swim in the local lake. Why would you say it is cheating? It is a great exercise for the whole body. Maybe it is more fun than harsh..but sports are good exercise and fun too.

Do you play ping pong outside? I consider that more of an indoor activity..although when I was a kid there was an outdoor ping pong table at one of the community parks that was fantastic and had everything fun for kids.. It was the best place to play ever!

@LadyDuck I used to have a full basement, more of a rec room. We had a ping pong table down there.

@snowy22315 We play ping pong under the porch, It is not something I would play inside our house. We have a ping pong table, but there are tables available in the park here in the village.

I also love gardening but I don't have a garden anymore and so I make a little garden on my balcony because I enjoy seeing things grow.
I like to go to a park and sit under a tree when it's really hot and enjoy the greenery. The swimming pools are filled with kids and there is usually not much room for swimming.

I use to enjoy gardening very much. Now it almost seems like a chore. I hope that the feeling changes this year. I love swimming as well. I hope we can afford to buy one of those above ground pools this year. It is so nice to go get in the cool water on hot days.

Summer is about to end here and I feel sad because I wasn't able to do what we usually do in summer season. We go on a trip, visit some beautiful islands and stay in beautiful resorts. I like snorkelling and I love the sea a lot and I'm missing that terribly. I hope we still get to go in May.
