I am from UP NORTH. Just look at any wall map, see? Up towards the ceiling.

I like wall maps. In the classroom of American and World History classes, there were these pull down maps that gave us a view of the world from a flat point of view. The world is flat, apparently, based on those maps, so if you are able to remember back when you were a kid and were told that North was up and South was down, you might be thinking, North is up in the clouds and south is down under our feet. Of course, later on we were given a globe for Christmas and I realized more than ever that the world was a ball. So I wonder how it manages to go around the sun without a tether? Maybe, I figured, there is an invisible string holding us in the same position as we swirl around and around forever that giant sun. It is said that approx 200 people are members of some kind of flat earth society. Can you imagine that? Seriously?

It is just a case of simple denial. Anyone who would argue with those would be more foolish to do so than to just leave it alone an let them have their crazy notions.

@jstory07 , here is a YouTube that explains the reality of going to the moon.
CBS Television coverage of the July 20, 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing, anchored by legendary newscaster Walter Cronkite.

It is founded in pure ignorance. Don't even bother about learning about such nonsense. They are a rare group of individuals who probably never read a single book about geography in their lives and probably do not even believe that man landed on the moon and walked the Lunar surface and it was all just a hoax. Many t.v. simulations were mistook for real events and I had to let some people I knew watching a simulated animation of a spacecraft taking off and landing that it was not real but a re-creation, using animation, computer graphics and lots of imagination. People see things like Jurassic Park and think that Dinosaurs are still alive today. The thing is, we can easily be fooled by things, even brain washed to thinking the earth is flat. The maps are flat because they are meant to be a reference to the global earth. So that said, for every flat map there is a globe that puts the earth in 3D perspective. computers now can project the entire galaxy in 3D formation so the viewer can take a virtual journey all around the stars as if they were outside looking in through the windows of a spaceship.
