Does Anyone Have Experience With Crypto Coins?

A few weeks ago I bought my first 18 crypto coins. Before that I never heard of crypto currency, crypto coins, block chain or virtual money. I had heard about Bitcoin which I think, when I understand, is an ‘investment’ people make. That is to say, they had the extra money and decided to buy Bitcoin and then wait for the value to keep increasing. The coins I bought is Empowr coins from anywhere between S1.50 – S2.50. It was the silliest thing. I open an ethereal wallet, bought ether from Coinmama and went on the exchange on Token store. I was watching a live broadcast and when they say to place an order to buy I did so hoping to win bonus. I think I won bonus but not sure. In fact, I have no idea what I did. LOL. Frustrating at first, then funny like hell. After that initial broadcast I have 18 ecoins and haven’t the foggiest what to do with it. Sell? I haven’t the foggiest idea how. I think the ecoin value is presently .62 cents. When I first went on the exchange, I was told to place a fixed bid for 1,000,000.00 coins at .01 ether. I think that translated means ‘1 million coins at .1 cents’. Ha Ha, how the mighty have fallen. Never got that bid filled out. The bidding started at $1.00 for 1 coin. Go figures. I know when you are my age you shouldn’t do stupid things, but I am trying to fit in with modern technology. It is hard to live in a developing technological world. Has anyone been successful with buying or selling any kind of crypto coins? Are crypto coins even practical? Will crypto coins replace real money one day? I have been studying and researching about cryptocurrency for almost 3 years now and have a very modest number of coins hodled as investment. If you ask me personally I would stay away from that site, I don't think it's a true crypto currency in the truest sense but an investing site that is riding on the popularity of digital currency to dupe people into joining and parting with their money.( just my opinion but based on researching) If this is the same empwr that spammed peoples emails before then posibilities are it's a scam, we have several topics here at Mylot about that site, just type empwr and search topics. There's a lot of red flags, also search if they are listed in sites like coin market capitalization. I found an article for you that closely mirror my opinion and I want to share it with you, hope it would help you decide if you want to go on.
Empower Coin, or Ecoinplus, is a bitcoin-based investment service that promises to double your investment in 50 to 90 days. Here’s our review. What Is Empower Coin? EmpowerCoin.com is the online ho…

@Gita17112016 if I were you I would not put my money on something that is unproven. I would rather buy proven crypto currency like bitcoin, litecoin, ripple, dash, doge, ethereum and wait for it to go up So just for the sake of argument, you have very little money to invest, there are tons of other altcoins that has an active community and larger market capital that could be had for less. Is the coin listed in a site like coinmarket cap? Did you read the white paper and what problems does the token try to solve? In what exchanges are they available in? A few months ago a coin called bitconnect could be exchanged only on their site for bitcoins, I warned a lot of my friends not to join cause their were a lot of red flags, those who did not listen got burned. I think at the end of the day, it's still up to us to decide cause it's our hard earned money.

Thank you for the largest contribution so far! I watch your video and thanks for the heads up. BUT EMPOWER COIN (ECOINPLUS) is not EMPOWR COINS. (spell e-m-p-o-w-r). There is no offer to double your investment. And there are no investment brokers ...only the Exchange (which there are so many you can choose). I am trading with token Store. I am not dealing with Empowr site. And you do not have to join Empowr site.. Empowr coins are selling on the Exchange and there are laws and rules governing the Exchange market. You cannot be scam (by empowr site, as they probably did before). Once the coins are in your Token Store (Exchange) no one can control it except you. When you sell, you get payment in ether ( Exchange currency) which you now convert into US dollars and then convert into your debit card or account in the currency of your country. At least, that's how I understand it. This holds true for all cryptocurrency. The price of Empowr coins is at .65 cents. And I can trade my Empowr coin for another token, if I don't like it. I was hoping to get hints on how to trade to make a profit.

I don't know a thing about it, and prefer to hang on to the real money I have. My brother invested in one of the currencies and made a huge profit when he sold. Just be careful what and where you invest and do your research first.

@Gita17112016 I will ask him, but he has money to spare and pure luck. I am pretty sure he had no idea what he was doing.

Ahhh, someone who actually bought and sold on the Exchange market. I was told that crypto is the future currency. And that cash will be replaced by it not too far in the future. That's why I am venturing into this world. Ask your brother if he has any tips to share!

I know what they are, but I do not want to be involved with crypto coins. The site you mention looks a lot like a scam.

@Gita17112016 Crypto currencies are still a risky investment. Those are "unregulated" currencies, this means that they are not guaranteed by any government, not backed up ore secured. At most I would "risk" a small amount. Do not forget that the most famous (Bitcoin) lost the half of its value.

Apart from this site, is crypto coins a reliable thing? Because one you have ether in your purse you can convert it to cash.

@LadyDuck Yes, I think so too. I was reading somewhere that it may be that governments may change to cryptocurrencies in the near future. I am hoping that is not so. I am still very comfortable with cash.

I personally dont see any value to buying "digital money". Did the people ever get their money back when the other digital coin investment got hacked? Want a true investment- buy gold or land. If a gold bar is stolen, insurance covers it!

I am old school too ... gold or land. But I am trying out the digital age where to have cash money with you is suspicious. I also want to develop some new skills.

@Jessabuma Well, so far as I understand you have to have an ethereal wallet and have some ether (the currency) in it. Do you have your ether wallet already??
