---on the western front. It is 10:45pm now and I have just finished watching National Geographic series about snakes and the couple who capture the deadly reptiles. I switched off the desktop after I posted my discussion about asking questions because I had to watch my favourite television series. Right now, I am off to bed and I will surely be back in this site tomorrow morning. The electric fan is cooling us and the sleeping dogs. That brown dog is Trixie, a local mutt. The rest of the pack are sleeping in their preferred spaces. Actually the quiet sound of the rotating fan induced me to doze off. It is my sleeping pill for now. What sounds induce you to sleep aside from music?

I've actually watched an 8 hour video of a box fan in order to sleep!

really? but isn't it the box fan is always quiet? maybe it has a soothing sound while the blades are rotating?

I often can not sleep with out the sound of the fan.. but also we leave our television on all the time.. Sometimes I do want peace and quiet... but when I turn off the TV. then the dogs hear all the noise from the neighbors outside and people walking down the street and dogs barking.. and then they start barking and then I can't get ANY sleep... so I have to turn the TV back on... Ugh!

@ridingbet I don't think they have a preference.. but it can get crazy if a door bell rings or other dogs bark on the television... they think it's real and go mad barking... lol

@minx267 maybe with the doorbell ringing, the dogs can smell if the person in the gate or door is unfamiliar?

You might dream about snakes tonight. The sound of rain on the roof.

hahaha! no i did not dream of snakes although i have this anxiety if a slithering snake enters our house to feel comfort in a shade. rain sounds do help induce sleep, especially if the room is dim, right?

do you live by the sea shore? or you do have an app in your phone with the sound of the ocean. really, you won't capture snakes? what then if they approach you with fangs out?

@aureliah the breeze from the sea also gives a refreshing feeling that can doze a person off. about the snakes, when one small snake was in our kitchen, my sister called for help (the barangay kagawad or councilman) to kill the snake.

@ridingbet For snakes I would definitely call for help. I do not live by the shores but when I'm at the coast, that sound makes me fall asleep with ease

It's always quiet here, and that pretty much can cause the eyelids to droop.

@ridingbet I do not know, but, what I know is I have different sounds I can put on it and can choose the best one for the noise that goes on here outside our apartment and the apartment above us.

Good night po, Ingrid. When I read a book or watch something on my phone. It makes me sleep fast that I do not know what I am reading or watching.
