Wind Damage Today, in East Tawas

East Tawas, Michigan
May 4, 2018 5:08pm CST
This afternoon, we had between 50-60mph winds in Northeastern Michigan! First it was just raining and then those powerful, high velocity winds started blowing. When the storm ended, I drove to the Post Office to pick my husband up after work. On our way back home, we spotted this motor-home, that a tree had fallen on top of. Thank God, noone was in the vehicle, when this happened! Photo:taken by me

Holy cow, that's going to be expensive to repair. I sure do hope they had insurance. I'm not parking under any trees but then we really don't have that many anyway.

Last summer, we had high velocity winds. A neighbor's tree fell on two cars, side by side, in the driveway next door!

Those are strong winds - almost tropical storm strength. Lucky thing no one happened to be in the vehicle.

It must have been a really strong wind! A tree is very strong because it is uprooted by the wind!

Nature can be quite a strong force...thank God, no one was hurt! Volcanic activity on the Big Island & rain flooding in Oahu & Kauai...God help us all! Glad you and your family okay.

I don't like windy weather, because strong winds always bring a lot of damage.

Those poor people. What a shame. Some people here won't camp under trees in case a limb comes down.
