This morning, I was looking at my younger brother. He was taking a bath our dog and asked him to do it to Shadow as well. He said, "It will rain." I was laughing out loud. He got this notion from the elders that it is not possible for cats to take a bath. It is still an animal that needs to have a lukewarm bath.
"Do you take a bath your cat?"
"Do you have such superstitious belief?"

@mlgen1037 The kittens and the mother cat are not allowed inside the house. They are allowed to visit the living room and go out after if no ones inside the house.

that is an age-old belief that we Filipinos practice, right? and right now i would like to splash a bucket full of water to a stray cat at the backyard so it will rain.

Bathing a cat is next to impossible, they will claw and scratch and bite! Will it make rain? NO!

Unless I want to be maimed and have the skin ripped off of me, I will not bath my cat.
She does a good job of keeping herself clean.

@caopaopao I do agree that they know how to take good care of themselves, in terms of being clean.

@Shavkat My cat is very good. Sometimes I take a bath for it once every two months. Sometimes it takes longer. In fact, cats have their own cleaning ways . They are always very clean.

No I don't bathe my cat. Although I wanted to when she had fleas. She wouldn't let me. I haven't heard that belief.
