Live The Moment or Save

Hello everyone. This morning we went to visit some churches. As we feed the birds outside the church, I overheard some young professionals discussing if they are going away for a trip this coming long weekend (it will be a holiday on monday because of local election). I overheard one of the girl said she is saving money and the boy answered that they only live once so they should enjoy and live the moment and that she cannot bring her savings when she die. This prompted me to write this post. I wonder how you feel about the situation and what is your opinin on this? Would you spend your money living your life or save your money?

I have seen a lot of people enjoy the moment and when the bad times come, they have no money anymore. I go for saving my money.

I have always been a saver but I know if I was not with my husband who is a spender I would never have spent a little to enjoy life with. I think there has to be a balance to enjoy life the most. Neither way is right every time.

@rakski Very easily. Sometimes I let my husband spend and most of the time I put money back to save too. Lol.

I would do both. I first save and then spend some not all

I think we can do both, we can save money while enjoying our life we just need to wise on spending money. My husband and I love love to travel but every time we travel we make sure to earn too like buying delicacies and other products that we can sell afterward.

Oh that is a good idea. That way you can earn some of the money you spent. Nice idea @Bhebelen14

I think you need to find a middle pathway. It's no good saving ALL your money but you do need to have a bit extra put aside in case you have unexpected expenses. And of course you need to save for the future. However you also need to enjoy life as you go along because no-one knows how long they have in this world.

That is true. I think you should save separately for unexpected things, travel and savings

Both. Save your money but plan a vacation, that way you are not over spending by going and going. Everyone need to have 3 months of what it takes to live one month put back in a savings so they can live if they lost a job or whatever.
