It's all systems go at last

As you might know, car trouble has delayed the start to our trip to the east coast of Australia. Actually we won’t quite get to the east coast but only as far as Melbourne. It’s all ‘eastern states’ or ‘east’ coast to us West Aussies. The car is tickety-boo now but we’re having new tyres put on the front today and a wheel alignment done. While that’s happening we’ll repack the caravan and sometime today we’ll head off for Ravensthorpe. This is probably a six-hour drive and we don’t want to drive once the sun starts to go down so we may need to camp along the road somewhere. With winter fast approaching and our short twilights, the sun is going down earlier and earlier. There was a blood red sunset last night because of all the smoke around but Vince only had his phone with him at the time. It’s still quite a nice photo. I’m hoping to catch up with myLotter, @lynnief, while we’re in Melbourne. New Zealander myLotter, @valmnz, will be in Adelaide at the same time as us on her return journey from travelling on the historic Ghan train through the middle of Australia but I doubt our schedules will allow us to meet. I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to myLot but certainly from time to time I hope to post something and interact at least a little. Take care and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.
