I'm Moving

On May 1st I got a phone telling me that I was approved for an apartment at this complex I applied for a year and a half ago. I was thrilled to hear this. I will be moving in on my birthday which is June 1st.
I am so excited. It is a little bigger than the one I am in and has more windows which my plants will love. Well, I will too. I will be closer to both of my sons, stores and my doctors office. This is a blessing. To top it off, I don't have to pay any utilities.
So that explains my absence from myLot the past week or so. When I get done watching my granddaughter and get home I have been busy packing and getting ready to have a moving sale.

Well, congratulations to you and the best of luck. I have an even bigger move ahead of me. In mid-June, I am returning to my homeland the US from Latvia where I am now.

@velvet53 I have not been back to the states since 1999 so yes, it is time for me to come home. I lost my husband last August and there are just too many memories here.

I bet you would enjoy that so much. I decided that I don't need all the stuff I have anymore. It would all fit in the new place but why take it if I don't have to. I am trying to get rid of as many of my plants as I can cause I don't want to have to move them. My son keeps mentioning different things that I have and that has helped a bunch. It makes me think if I really need things or not.

See if I can remember that date as I have a lot of things to do around here and my moving was quite hectic its the 23rd day I am here in this place and finding it a bit hard to settle.

Congratulations on being able to move to a bigger, better and more convenient place. I hope the pains of moving won't be too much.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I took a bunch of items down to this one place that gives things to those in need. I will have another batch of things to take to them just before I move. I am the only that I have to deal with when it comes to getting rid of things. I am being very careful with what I keep this time.

@velvet53 I think it would be a good thing if we pretended to have a "moving sale" and just donate a lot of things. There is so much clutter in this house, and I can only do so much with people set in their ways.

@CookieMonster46 It is a pain when that happens. I am having problems with my tablet this morning. I can't get it to turn on and it won't charge. I wonder if my charger is shot.

@Courtlynn It sure is a great day and it is getting closer. I will be ready to load the trailer Friday morning so I can get a lot done and be able to relax in my new place Sunday.

Congrats and I am sure you can’t wait to get moved and get all settled in your new place. That is the best news about not having to pay utilities and you will be closer to your boys and stores and doctors that is even better.

@Tina30219 I sure do have a lot of work ahead of me but I am making good headway. The landlord told me that I didn't have to clean the walls because they will be painting in there. It needed it when I moved in. But I am not the type that will do that. I will wash the walls.
