Serial Killers Are Great Artists

I don’t know how many of you would venture to a museum called the Museum of Death but such a museum exists in Los Angeles, California. With everything else that L.A. has to offer this does not come as too much of a surprise. The museum features the largest collection of artwork that was done by serial killers. These killers were scary enough during their lifetime why would anyone want to know what was on their minds? Here at this museum, you can look at photos of awful crime scenes and the autopsies which followed. Well if you’re a doctor it might be interesting. There are displays such as funeral paraphernalia and embalming instruments, execution photos, and other equally alarming items. The videos here are not for the faint-hearted. One could say that I am sure I wouldn’t even want to get to know the people who actually come to visit this museum. I’m sure that Alfred Hitchcock would have been delighted by this museum. It would of probably have been truly inspirational for another one of his movies. And the purpose of this museum? Is simply to make people glad to be alive. What do you say?

Even though it's disturbing, there is something fascinating about the crimes. I would like to see the artwork just to compare.

Who knows some of the painting might just give the reason for the crimes depending on what they painted @tzwrites

John Wayne Gacy actually sold his art from prison.

I am more happy than Alfred Hitchcock to have a visit of this museum! That is really an interesting museum and i would spend more than a month there! Purpose of this museum is that...let people know that there is a prey bird always watching them to pounce, and they should be careful and stay away from such elements! Thanks!

I would actually like to visit this place. I didn't even know about it until now. Maybe my boyfriend and I will be able to visit on our trip to L.A. in the fall.

Oh dear. At first I thought it was literal artwork by killers, since some of them have been artists I think... but no, this is much worse

@RasmaSandra So strange indeed. I know in the Dahmer case - there were people who really wanted the contents of his apartment. There was an auction. In the end I think it was the city of Milwaukee who was the highest bidder. They destroyed all of the items. Right move. The money went to victim's families. Also a right move.
