I am seriously sore today

Last night at the gym we did single-leg deadlifts, Bulgarian split squats, AND sandbag-loaded walking lunges. 5 sets of each. As my sister texted me this morning "no one would do all 3 of those at once unless they were told to!" My legs (quads and hamstrings) are feeling pretty good today, but my butt is insanely sore. Walking, sitting, getting up, going up stairs, getting into/out of the car. . . it has all been a challenge today. I'm kind of nervous to see how I will feel tomorrow because sometimes it is even worse the 2nd day after. I'm supposed to go to an 8 am workout but I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it. Hey, at least it isn't my shoulder that is hurting me for once!

or it is just hurting so much less than my butt that I'm not noticing it. haha

The lunges will do that to you if you are not in the habit of doing them regularly. Any muscle that gets a strenuous workout after being only passively used for months or years will be very sore. You have to do lunges every day if you hope to overcome the pain. My abs hurt like heck after doing 10 situps.
