A Very Busy Weekend

This has turned out to be a very busy weekend. Tomorrow the family will be here to celebrate Mother's Day. A fun day ahead but it still takes planning and house cleaning before company arrives. Do you super clean for company or just do the general tidy up? I tend to keep the house in order so I just need to run a quick vacuum, dust and give the bathrooms a once over. Not too much to do.
My daughter is in the kitchen and she's making red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. In addition to Mother's Day we have 3 birthdays to celebrate!!
Today my oldest daughter and her husband are going to some sort of event tonight that includes dinner and a comedian. They're looking forward to it as they didn't get to celebrate their anniversary a few weeks ago. The grandkids will be coming here for dinner and we'll play some cards and/or games to pass the time.
I still have a few hours before the fun begins!
Happy Mother's Day to everyone who is celebrating and it's bittersweet for those of us whose moms aren't with us anymore.

My house is usually pretty clean and then I just have to do a quick bit of cleaning before company comes so I guess we are pretty well the same with that. Except today my house is a disaster and I can't wait to start the house once my son has a little break during cyber school. For now I am catching up on notifications here. I think your busy weekend sounds wonderful. I hope it all turned out great

We're always clean, so never have to tidy up or do big cleaning before company. thankfully.
My boyfriend would love those cupcakes! Me, not at all. LOL.
