A View From My Rooftop (Poem)

Just wanting to share this poem I wrote years back...
Passing vehicles, countless and never-ending passersby
Cool breeze of soft wind dampen the skin
Peaceful kind of feeling underneath and within;
Random memories keep on crawling in;
Music plays in the background gives chills on the chin;
There are no stars in sight that shine so bright
But I know they are near yet so far;
When the clock strikes nine in the evening I know
Anticipation draws near but excitement cannot show;
Right behind that wheel of a passing car
There’s a pinch in the heart which has been scarred
Unhappy soul wishing to see a glimpse or sight
Of a beautiful face with a silent war to fight!
Slowly darkness starts crawling in
With a promise of a new sunrise there in;
Before things begin to unravel
Just enjoying the view from the rooftop with marvel!

Good poem!
Well written!
This is my favorite verse:
Slowly darkness starts crawling in
With a promise of a new sunrise there in;
Before things begin to unravel
Just enjoying the view from the rooftop with marvel!
