Taking Me Back Blue Muffins.......

blueberry muffin just bought it in Pamplona Navarra....

Heya all. Just enjoying a blue muffin it was something out of heaven. It tasted really really good. This is a very well made muffin and nice ingredients in it. Okay so I was only thinking of the wonderful blueberries in it. Reminded me of ages back when I would smell and savour the blueberries being cooked in the oven at home. Eating them fresh is equally as good. Have always loved this fruit but its hard to get it fresh and so I buy it wherever and whenever I can and enjoy it. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and a great start to the week.

Blue muffins are your Proust's madeleines. They look delicious. The last fresh blueberries I bought were coming from Spain. It is not a fruit that I buy often because they are expensive.

@topffer Bought them in Eroski tops they are two in a packet and you can get four chocolate ones in packet also. They also come with apple inside them and have not tried those yet. No strikes tops as far as I can tell I was looking though the news and nothing that stands out in particular except for Puigyboy.

See, lots of good things come out of Spain also. Nah just kidding you there. They were on the shelf shouting at me buy me buy me and you will not be sorry just wait and see. These are not industrial made cakes they are made by hand from where I do not know but they are superb in taste and texture and heavy to pick and the heavier the better. They have not overdone the sugar like they usually do here just right on all levels as I am not keen on very sweet sugary things to ear. Have yourself a good trip tops friend lots of good vibes going your way and no sign of any strikes as yet.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I hope that there will be no strike on this Alsa bus company or my travel would quickly turn to a nightmare. Did you bought these blue muffins in a bakery/pastry shop or in a supermarket ? My supermarket has a few hand made pastries, but most of them are industrial pastries frozen/unfrozen.

Thank you so much and its so very rare to be able to buy these indeed. Very hard to find fresh blueberries also around here. When I was small they were much easier to find as the countryside was much closer.

@aureliah But they still make Jam with them and so they must grow them somewhere and I suppose it might be in another part of the country or outiside of the country more probably.

These were fantastic but I don´t buy them all the time its a small treat for me every so often. They have butter in these ones and give them a very good taste.

Your muffins looks so moist and delicious! I made some corn muffins, Jiffy is so easy and good. I'LL be enjoying them withy yogurt and frozen fruits, thawed now to add to my yogurt. When I get lazy, it's yogurt for dinner. Happy Mother's Day too. Muffins are yummy.

Oh I bet those tasted very good as well. I have to say that I did not and could not make these as there is no oven here at all so I have to get those muffins wherever I can. They were there on the shop shelf saying to me buy me and so I did. Its not a famous brand as the muffins are very heavy in texture and when you pick them up you can tell they are hand made and they have moisture lots of it and lots of substance. I get lazy too a lot sometimes but I always cook meals.

@oahuwriter I like that when they tell you how they control the sugar. Spain overcooks it when it comes to sugar way too much so I was hesitant about buying them but they are just right as you can tell when they have loaded too much sugar into them. Enjoy yours too. I know what you mean about the toaster and I would have to wait for a while to be able to buy one. I do not like Microwaves and that is all he put in here. I would have to be desperate to use it.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I bake mine in a toaster oven just right to bake 6 muffins. I never use the apartment's oven at all. I see muffins and baked goods too, but I resist because of the sugar. Don Quixote supermarket had a sale of, La Chef's brand no sugar added, 3g of sugar cheesecake and carrotcake. I tried them &was pleasantly surprised with them. I buy them now all the time.

@rakski Do they import them maybe instead? I mean blueberries grow wild here but far and few between also. Mainly there are industrial growers of them now but they are still hard to get fresh here as well. Glad you like them anyway.

@just4him Just one every so often would not hurt you and I am very careful with sugar also most of the time. Spanish cakes are way too sweet most of the time so those were ones I could enjoy as the sugar was just right and the flavour the whole kaboodle as you call it.

I would eat them by the dozen if I was not sensible about it. I have not got an Oven here you see and so I could not make them myself. They made them better for me. Hope you enjoyed yours also.

@YrNemo I like sweet things but not very very sweet and I only eat them every so often I am more the bitter sweet taste in things. Love stuff like sausage rolls much better really. I lose myself over blueberries though.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I love quiches but not a fan of anything sweet (so muffins are going to stay there for visitors). I am still fighting with the quiches right now. (She made it a bit too salty this time.)
