Its a special day for all the moms out there

and that includes all the pet moms too. What a great day to celebrate those special ones in our life. I am blessed and proud to be the mom to a daughter and a son. The grandmother to three grand daughters and two grandsons. A mother in law to my children's partners. The pet mom to two awesome kitties. Life is good. This is an extra special one for me. I was given a chance to celebrate another Mother's Day with my loved ones. Today I am going to my daughters place for a homecooked meal and Tuesday after work my son is taking me out to dinner.
I know over the years on here we often talk about our children but there are so many new members here so I thought it would be nice if we shared who we the moms of. The reason why we celebrate Mother's Day. How many children, grandchildren and fur babies do you have?
For those celebrating your moms tell us a bit about her. My mom passed away in 2014 at the age of 83. Not a day goes by that she is not in my thoughts. I miss her so much. She was an awesome mom and raised me to be the strong, loving, independent woman that I am.

I have one, bio-daughter.
Who as you know, was taken away and adopted.
No grands.. ! LOL.
And one cat who is half mine (by the place we live) and half my moms (she wanted him!)
I'm not really celebrating today.. as low on funds, but did buy my mom a card, balloon and some candy. Plus got her a comforter during the week with my kmart points.
She is my bestfriend, and hero.. was / is the best single parent.. and was a great grandmother to my daughter. Couldn't ask for a better person to call mom.
Sorry about your mom. Thinking about you today.

Happy Mother's Day Laurel!
I'm so glad that you are here to celebrate with your kids and grandkids, your love for them must have been a lot of the motivation it has taken to get you over your surgery from last summer.
I don't see much of my mother, although she is still living.
My mother-in-law passed away 10 years ago.
I feel that my Dad and my Gramma were the greatest influences in my life. I had poor health when I was young, and they both taught me to be honest and to pray, and that advise has served me well over the many years since. And it was good advise, and I've passed it on to our son.
