What is Your Preference: Sunrise or Sunset?

For me I love the colors of the setting sun. How the different hues of orange and other colors sink below different backdrops. Or how it can reflect on lakes, ponds and rivers, showing off a variety of brilliant light. I may be a bit biased here. I'm rarely awake to witness and enjoy a sunrise, although from ones I've witnessed over the years, they definitely invigorate me in starting off my day.
How about you? Both are wonderful sights of nature, but do you have a preference?

I like Sunrice more as it comes up with a ray of hope every day and as time passes it becomes brighter and brighter giving a message that with time we are also suppose to be like that! That is reverse with the Sunset....I always find sunset very gloomy! Thanks!

Yes. Sunset is gloomy and so many flashbacks to think of. It brings sadness.

I enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset. I visited the Mayan ruins in Guatemala and got up early to go on a sunrise trip. It involved walking in the dark and climbing up a Mayan ruin. My camera wouldn't work in front of an awesome and very special sunrise. The light came and the sky turned all different shades of blue, orange, yellow plus pink. I saw and heard monkey playing in the trees and saw bright looking parrots flying.

As I am up before dawn - 3 AM, I am often blessed with a beautiful sunrise. Being able to enjoy both is invigorating, and awe inspiring. You just don't think they can get any better, until the next one. No preference. They're both beautiful.

@dgobucks226 Yes, they do. When I left for the pool this morning, the sun was getting ready to make an appearance at 5 AM. Not certain what time sunrise was, but it would have been beautiful had I been able to see it and not been in the pool when it made its appearance.

Great question. I'm more a night owl - so I see more of the sun set. However I love the sunrise on the rare occasions I have seen it and the addition of mist of fog seems moreso to happen in the morning

They both have there good points Faye. Watching a new days beginning can be as enjoyable as viewing the end of another day. If only I could wake up with the rising sun

So true! I find myself sometimes watching the sun disappear into the horizon. I find it a peaceful feeling.
