Have You Tried Any New Foods, Lately?

Have you tried any new foods lately? My husband was born in Baltimore Maryland, just below the Mason Dixon line, but he's lived everywhere from Hoboken New Jersey, to Atlanta Georgia. He also loves to cook, and as a result of this, by the time he joined me up here in Canada, he brought all kinds of new foods to me that I had never tried before. Among some of my favourites are sausages with biscuits and gravy, big gowls of grits with all kinds of interesting toppings on them (oh, that reminds me! Need to order a 5 pound bag of grits from Amazon!), salt pork and various vegeties (collard greens, green beans etc.) and most recently black eyed peas!!!!!!!! He just informed me that that's exactly what he's making for dinner tonight; black eyed peas, and salt pork! Funny, because this morning I was thinking of how I was in the mood for black eyed peas with salt pork. Turns out he was thinking the same thing. -- So, has anyone tried any new foods lately? What did you try, and how did you like it? What do you think of the foods I've mentioned above?
