A Good Way to NOT Get Money From Me

While gone my post office box sat unchecked for a week. (So, see, I haven't been slacking just here!) When I checked yesterday I found a couple of goodies, including a device the VA sent me to help deal with tinnitus at night. There was also a big HONKIN' no-no in my mail. Seriously, this is a really good way to NOT get any money from me. A non-profit religious organization I've never heard of before I got the letter sent me one of those pleas for money. Oh, and this one had a "miraculous prayer cloth" inside, too. Into the shredder it went. There's one simple fact of life: they got my snail mail address from somewhere. The easiest way for them to get it is to buy it from another non-profit I mistakenly gave to (if they sell my info) in the past. That tells me two things. One, if they buy it, they'll sell it. Secondly, and far more importantly, they aren't good stewards of any money they receive. If they're spending money to buy mailing lists to "buckshot" a bunch of people to see if they get replies, that means they're wasting what's sent. (Oh, and I looked this guy up: he's over 65...and has a full head of black hair. Apparently the donations are going to hair coloring, too.) Most appropriate song I can think of regarding this topic:
Do my "profits" no harm.... Would Jesus Wear a Rolex Performed By: Ray Stevens Written By: Chet Atkins and Margaret Archer

To be fair, you can buy hair dye at the dollar store. And you can get material at a thrift shop. The whole thing could be very cheap. You can get all the email addresses you want from the dark web. I'm sure the money is being used for good things.

I don't think these guys who live $1200 suits would be caught in the same zip code as a Dollar Tree...except by accident. And it depends on who's definition of "good things" you're listening to.

@akalinus — no, you did fine. I failed in building on your joke.

That looks like Benny Hinn in that video. You know he is a heretic, don't you?

Oh, I know. He’s a scam artist, too. They’ve proved his “healings” to be fake.

Just give me your money, I promise not to spend it on hair dye, I will even send you proof that it's turning to a beautiful salt and pepper and of course it's gonna be used wisely to feed hungry children, my children

I represent the induct Milli Vanilli into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame committee based in Nigeria. Would you care to make a donation to help make this dream become a reality?
