Moving on from a low level partner

Do you think its okay to dump a partner that doesn't befits one standard after a while.Maybe you keep upgrading and improving yourself but the other never did anything about his or standard. Is it appropriate to still stick to such partner or one should go after a partner that befits his or her new standard? What do you think?

If that set up makes you unhappy, maybe its time for you to make a decision already. But if you love that person, maybe you should give another try to change that person or influence that person to be a better one.

No need to be around people who don't make you happy. Cut your losses and move on.
