One of my best friends has died.

I'm sorry to be a bummer on a Monday afternoon but one of my best buddies has passed away. I just got an email from my friends informing me that Romeo, their cockatiel, was found dead on his cage floor this morning. I wrote them back and asked how Juliet, his "wife," is doing. I have fed Romeo by mouth (cockatiels like that) and he has played guitar with me on many occasions. When I'm at their house with my guitar, he likes to fly over to me, sit on my shoulder, and listen to me play. Sometimes, he crawls down my arm and "helps" me play. I have some tears in my eyes as I write. We all know that our fur friends are family, and that includes feathered friends. Please send some thoughts and prayers my (and my friends', and Juliet's, and Romeo's) way. If you can find it in your heart, slap an RIP Romeo on the video I'll try to attach. He was my buddy.

How old was he! Was he always to be in the cage or to roam here and there outside the cage! Very sad to know about his loss! I feel very bad if something happens with my pet or frinds pets! RIP to the dear Romeo! Thanks!

I am very sorry about him dying. He was such a special bird and I hope he will rest in peace. My mum gave given a white fronted Amazon parrot called Bingo in 1987. He was given to me in my adult years. He would fly around the room and sit on my shoulder. Sadly he became very ill in 2008 and the vet was unable to make him better. He was in pain so we had the vet put him down. I was at the time pregnant with my daughter and she was born in 2009.
