My wife said no, I am so disappointed

As per one of the threads, I was watching about keeping Tarantula as a pet. It kind of caught my interest a bit. To be honest, I am very tempted to keep them as a pet. So I told my wife,” hey look at this sweet sweet creature. Can we keep 1.” She said no and I am so disappointed. Having her to say yes is the first step of getting the tarantula. The second step is to look for a dealer who is willing to bring this in. Now I can only stick to watching YouTube videos of them

That is awful, I would never have a spider like that in the house so I am with her when she said NO! Spiders belong outside, they are not pets.

tarantulas, i think, are not right as pets because anything can happen. they may be considered wild arachnids.

I'm afraid of spiders. I always found them creepy. When I was younger my brother used to really like spiders. He even did a report on spiders when he was in elementary school and had a close up picture of a tarantula that gave me the heebie jeebies and scared me so much I never went anywhere near where he laid his report. The thing that scares me the most about spiders are first their eyes and second the way that they move their legs. My brother used to bring spiders in the house and play with them, but then I think he ran into a poisonous one I believe because I remember my mother having to rush him to a hospital. I really became afraid of them after that. Alhough, when I was in I believe the 2nd grade I had a teacher who kept a tarantula and a gecko as a pet in the classroom. She would bring a live mouse to school and release the mouse into the tarantula cage or whatever it's called and we would watch it eat the mouse. I think she also kept a snake in the classroom if I'm not mistaken because I believe we got to see the snake and tarantula both eat a live mouse. We also got to see the tarantula shed. I thought it was interesting that she kept animals that either shed or like the gecko which loses it's tail.
