Visiting a museum & Mother’s Day

I had a great weekend and I figure I need to write about it before to many days have passed. Saturday the kids and I went to a museum. It was free admission and a very rainy day so it was the perfect way to spend the day. Even better it wound up being all about the topics my son had just spend the last month learning about in science..diousaurs etc. Later while my son was talking a bath he got a weird rash. It was flat red dots freckle size and smaller all over his upper chest and back and onto his face. It didn’t itch and didn’t look like anything serious and is going away so I haven’t taken him to the doctor. It seems odd but I’m wondering if it’s from the Tuna he ate. He’s only eaten it three times and this was a different brand. It seems if I remember correctly the last two times he ate it he wound up sick that night or the following morning. On Mother’s Day my father in law dropped in around noon which was sweet of him to come visit and wish me a happy Mother’s day. Then my boyfriend and his son showed up and brought me a silly card, silly random balloons, cookies and a coffee. We watched the movie with Jim Carrey in it “A Series of Unfortunate Events”. I had my boyfriend hold my coffee while I ran to the bathroom. The puppy jumped on him and it flew everywhere soaking his pants and the couch which I had to take the cushions off to wash the covers. Now one needs to be seen causing more work for me lol For dinner my father took my mother, my sister and me out to dinner. I ordered garlic knots and mozzarella sticks it was delicious! It was the perfect weekend for me!

Sounds like Mother's Day weekend was a series of fortunate events - except for your son's rash (hope it goes away completely soon) and the flying coffee. How wonderful to have been thought of - what a nice day for you !

@much2say I didn't expect my boyfriend to get me anything for mother's day at all so it was a very sweet surprise. I still have to see the darn couch cushion cover but at least the two other cushion covers are washed and back on the cushions.

Who graduated? Part of the Mother's Day weekend events were attending a graduation party for my nephew..he was actually 3rd in his college class...Amazing feat!!! Not sure if that was just the Comp SCI students or the class as a whole though!

@snowy22315 no one graduated yet. The last day of school her isn't until the 7th. That was just one of the silly balloons he got me for mother's day as a joke. That is so wonderful your nephew got 3rd in the class!

@shaggin Apparently, he must be a real brainiac..although of course he has always been a great student.

@Plethos some museums are cool but not all. This one was okay. Nothing awesome but not horrible either. Neither of my kids really loved it not hated it so that was good

@JohnRoberts I agree! It was smaller then I expected so I'm glad it was free or I might not have felt it was worth the money.
