I Think Its Summer

Today I worked in another city, as the caregiver. When I came outside after being inside for a couple hours the temp had soared. As you can see it was 109 degrees F. But it was not hot, it was but we are having a dry heat.
Until......
One hour drive east and down in the valley (central Alabama) the temp was down to 96 and the humidity had shown up. Just in time for me to work in the garden! I was a hot mess after 2 hours laying off rows, Tony sowed the okra and squash seed. I watered all the tomato, bell pepper and eggplant. Then I picked more chamomile, roses and honeysuckle.
The dogs watched us while they laid in the shade, I got them a good walk in before I came inside at dark.
I love the heat!

I do have the windows closed and the a/c going but I love being able to get outside and just do. I am 3 hours from the gulf.

@andriaperry Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines.. It's always cold here.. sometimes hot also at day time but not hot as other part of our country..

That is a very hot day, both with the humidity as well as in the other city with dry heat.
I would imagine that the actual temperature with the humidex factored in had to be very close to the 109 mark.
We get high humidity, but haven't had any heat like you describe as of yet.
That usually doesn't arrive until June, or so I hope it won't this year.

@andriaperry We're still cooler then your normal. We won't feel that kind of weather until the end of this month or into June. Today is cool and wet and rainy, not exactly a nice day, but we need the rain.

Yes that was a freak weather day, tomorrow we will be back down to normal 80`s F.

Wow I'd be lying on the porch swing in those temps- you're lucky the heat doesn't really get to you! I;d be more than a mess after all that--haha!

Its just one of those freak days, its going back down to normal after the rain tomorrow, 80`s.

That is swimming weather, hang out at the lake or just play in the water via water hose.

@andriaperry We've got one of those smaller 13' pools we will be putting up soon. You know, the kind you add air to the outer ring and then just fill it with water. It's good for a little dip after cutting the grass.
