I just replaced my old and faithful frying pan with a Futura non stick frying pan The only use I have for a non stick frying pan is to shallow fry such as for omelettes, fish and stuff. Non stick utensils per se are not good if one uses them for cooking on a regular basis

My daughter is wishing for a wog (a big one). She believed that with a big one, she would be less messy. I told her to perish the thought since a messy cook will forever be a messy cook .

Fine mother you are. Atleast that will be a challenge for her and she will not mess around

@allknowing I just might get her one, but seriously, where can we store such a giant wog? We don't really use that sort of thing often, perhaps once every several months...

@YrNemo That is a point to consider. If it is a once in a way kind of use then that may not be a good idea.

Wow..nice one you have bought! But as you said, cooking food in non stick pan on a regular basis is not at all good for health!

For shallow frying a non stick pan is ideal as the food gets stuck at the bottom while frying. And shallow frying is not done regularly

@aureliah I read somewhere that we should not use non stick as a routine.

Have you got it from Amazon? Yes, they are not recommended but still we use it for our convenience.

I fully agree with you and the only use I have for my non stick frying pan is making omelettes and frying fish.

@allknowing You can use very little oil or butter and it does not stick. So convenient.
