My Husband was So Scared.

It's a cloudy day here. Gladly it did not rain while my daughter was at the strawberry farm. I was not in Mylot yesterday because I had allergic rhinitis attack that my eyes got so itchy and swollen. I usually get itchy eyes whenever my allergic rhinitis attacks and usually I tend to scratch my eyes. My hubby was not used to seeing me with swollen ,teary ,red eyes so he said we should go to the hospital. I told him to stop overacting because I usually get red and watery eyes whenever I have allergy attack. But later on ,he said that my eyes looked different. At that time I could hardly open my right eye because it felt heavy and sticky with tears. When I looked at the mirror, I, myself was so surprised. My sclera was swollen. The skin under my eyes and upper eyelid looked like they were bitten by a bee. I looked liked I had cried for 24 hours. I got scared, too. Luckily, there were few people in the hospital last night. The doctor confirmed it was just due to my allergic rhinitis.I was given antihistamine and eye drops while in the hospital. The doctor advised my hubby that if ever I experience heavy breathing, he must bring me to the ER right away. When we got out of the clinic,my husband was still uneasy. I told him to calm down. While on the way to the parking lot, he kept asking me what I had eaten before my eyes got swollen. He said, we should go back to the eye doctor and so we did. "Let's go back to the doctor" "why? She said, I will be fine." ,I replied. " I am not joking. I think you are serious.I'll just ask some questions" he said, nervously. The doctor was so kind to accommodate us again. When we got home my husband, checked me out every hour.He was scarier than I was. My eyes are better now than yesterday. I also slept for three hours after sending my daughter to kindergarten. No more swollen and teary eyes.

I hope it's only allergy and you did not get conjunctivitis.

@Iam_jauntyjen I have non-allergic rhinitis with no cure. Do you have medication that helps you? I finally got an air purifier and it does help.

@Iam_jauntyjen Does it help you? I have chronic non-allergic rhinitis and have lots of medication to take because I also have been prone to get bronchitis.

@Hannihar oh I am sorry to hear that you are prone to get bronchitis. In my case, I have never had bronchitis. Antihistamine and sleep help me soothe my allergic rhinitis.

Maybe you should have anti histamine medicines in your house. There are nasal sprays available for allergic rhinitis and also shots
