In April 2013, a young lady came to me to ask if I could copy this dress for her wedding.. I was preparing to travel overseas so I suggested that I can buy the materials over there for her as it is going to be a lot cheaper.. But I told her that she has to give me money for it and $250 would be enough. I will show her the receipt..All the materials cost around $200 .. She agreed to pay $2,000 for me to make it ..
When I came back from overseas, I texted her because I wanted to start working on the dress because we only had 6 months before the wedding.. She texted back saying that she'll get back to me and make an appointment for measurements.. Then, that was the last time I heard from her .. I sent a couple of messages to her again but I didn't get any answers .. So I just waited until the date of her wedding, but no news from her ..
I've forgotten her name now .. but I often think of whatever happened to her.. Did they break up?.. Is she well? Is she still alive?..I hope her breast enhancement that she had done in Thailand did not cause her any health issues.. I hope she is happy with life because she was a very hard working ambitious young woman who was full of life. She would have looked amazingly gorgeous in that wedding dress.. I was looking forward to making it for her ..
I still have her materials.. I didn't use them for anything just in case I hear from her again even after all these years ..I want to know what happened to this Bride and to her Groom .. otherwise, I have no closure ..

@hereandthere I don’t buy materials for the clients except for this because I was going overseas at that time and it will be cheaper for her.. I asked her money for the materials..
I don’t have time here to run around to get materials for the clients so they do that themselves. They supply everything they need for their dresses..

I guess it will always be a mystery why she never got a hold of you again. Perhaps she found another dress but she could have let you know that. At work we do a lot of wedding engraving, invites, etc and you meet people that you wonder what happened to them. There was one couple in their 50s who were getting married to each other for the third time. I often wonder if it worked for them this time around. There was another girl who was going to propose to her boyfriend. I often wonder how that went.

Yes.. I asked for the money for her materials and had 50$ change.. She should have told me that she won't be getting it made , so I could have accepted another job for that months I scheduled hers ..

@epiffanie I am glad you got the money for the materials, I can't imagine she would pay for that and then just walk away and never call again. How odd but it would have been polite of her to at least inform you so you could take another job.

Oh dear. I wonder what happened. My guess would be that the wedding got called off. It would have been nice for her to let you know that too. How thoughtful of you to keep those materials aside for her - just incase. I think you would be safe using them by now after years gone by....

Yeah, I could use the materials by now .. sell them maybe as there are a couple of rolls there ..
I will eventually get rid of them along with all the other things here in my studio when I finally close down ...

Me too .. I had a couple of suitors when I was in high school and one really annoying boy who used to follow me when I walked to school.. I sometimes wonder what happened to him.. I hope he did not become a stalker or some kind of pervert rapist .. OMG! ..

From some of my acquaintances, I found out that one guy who used to stalk me during high school, has become a policeman, famous for his ruthlessness and arrogant. There was also rumor of his receiving briberies (he was a bit corrupted) etc. Made me feel relieved that I didn't have anything to do with him back then.

Like you, I'd be really wanting to know what happened to the young lady. I do hope things are okay with her although obviously something has changed.

What a beautiful dress...I too would have wanted a closure .It is strange.It is very nice of you to keep the material. .Maybe someday you will be able to write a happy ending to this post.
I haven't had an experience like yours...Though sometimes I wonder about the folks who go away from here.

Yes, I remember a few mylot members whom I don't see around here anymore .. I read that one passed on though .. what happened to the others .. I hope to see them around here again ..
