Another raucous song from the ultimate 80s party band the B52s. “Devil in My Car” was not released as a single nor did it receive alternative radio play. Credited as group written, the song is on the band’s breakout album “Wild Planet” that went gold at Billboard #18. The album features B52 classics “Party Out of Bounds” and “Private Idaho.” “Devil in My Car” is typical B52s sound with baritone Fred Schneider swapping lyrics with high pitched squeals and screams of Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson. Athens, Georgia boasts two iconic 80s bands in R.E.M. and B52s and they were friends coming up together.

Just can't see you using a B-52's song. What, are you living in your own private Idaho?
Y'know, we give REM all the credit for "starting" the Athens scene, but I think the B-52's really did it. But I do like REM better....
