My trip to NYC

Can't believe it's already come and gone.
It was the most fun trip with my daughter Tammy and her daughter Kristin I could ever have wanted.
We stayed at the London NYC hotel on 54th street. It was so nice and walking distance to several places. Of course, we took taxies and Ubers a lot of times, but still did a lot of walking.
We shopped at the Chelsea Market and in SOHO, ate at a Vietnamese restaurant in Hell's Kitchen, had breakfast at the Plaza Hotel, and ate a few times at French restaurants.
Kristin loves French cuisine and chose the places we ate. Now, I don't know about you all, but I really didn't care for it. I loved some different sandwich I had at a small French deli for lunch and the Sunday brunch at Rue 57, but I really, really enjoyed the New York pizza!
I guess the high lights were the Twilight tour of the city on an open air bus and then seeing the Blue Man Group. We laughed so hard...they were hilariously insane!
As much fun as it all was, the very best part was enjoying it with my girls. It was the best Mother's Day ever.

I do think the pizza is the thing people like most.. but could be wrong.
I've only been to New York once, for an 8th grade weekend trip and had mc.donalds and pizza somewhere but don't remember where! lol.

My granddaughter and I live in NC and my daughter lives in SC. We flew to NY which only took about an hour and a half.

@1creekgirl Thanks for telling me. The word 'only' shows me that Americans and Europeans have a different attitude towards distances.
I live in Central Europe. When I fly for one and a half hour, I can be in many different countries! :-)
Then there are countries - Russia for example - in which you can fly for one and a half hour and see exactly the same kind of landscape when you look out of the window of the plane you saw when you took off.
Isn't the world an interesting place!

Glad you enjoyed yourself in my hometown NYC. I so miss it. I will be returning to the states this summer but NYC is expensive so most likely for a while I will be in Florida.

I would love to go back again for a visit, but I love the slower pace and peace and quiet of NC. I know you'll be glad to be back, but you'll miss your home there and especially your husband.
