Cooling Fan

Philippines
May 18, 2018 4:36am CST
It's been hot over here for the entire month, I thought April was the hottest. So I've finally tried making an ice bottle and put it into a cooling fan. But nothing happens, I didn't feel much coolness. Maybe some day I would buy a real air cooler. I don't mind warm weather, except that it's warm every day For sure in the other side of the world, it's the opposite.

I am sorry you are having such hot weather. It hasn't gotten too hot here yet but we are just coming upon Summer. I am kind of confused as to why they have the water bottles on the back of the fan. It seems to me they would be better on the front and the air would be cooled by blowing over the bottles of ice. Unless you have another fan blowing behind the fan with the bottles on the back. I could be wrong though. Good luck keeping cool.

Luckily, it's not hot here. But we'll have hot weather in a week. It will be thirty degrees centigrade or so.

I saw this post the other day and I tried this out. It works. The only difference I did was keep the bottle a bit far. It may not have been as effective as yours. But it saved a lot of air conditioning charges for sure. And better than coolers which make me perspire. Good suggestion. I kept the bottles far for three reasons. 1 the frame and blade may get rusted. Two power is involved, so there can always be short circuit. Third we rotate the fan so that is the only option I would have I think. LOL

we're very hot in this month, but thanks god,it has been raining in the night and the thunder is very melodious,i really hate the hot weather. For a month.i've been using the fan to cool me off. I can't see youtube, but as i know,if you put your icy bottle on the fans,it's very dangerous, because the water can transmit the electricity.and the too cold temperature also will hurt the function of fan. When it gets too hot,i have my own to cool down, that is spreading the water on the bed and i lay on the bed,it's very cooling.

Hello @choijungeun I don't really to expect rain soon because i would have trouble drying my clothes.

I've read that hanging wet blanket inside a room can also lessen the humidity.Just make sure the blanket is not dripping wet.

I have seen this with 2 liter bottles set in front of the fan. I have not tried it, but sometimes I try putting a wet towel in front of the fan. That does help just a little bit.
