He won't grow a lot bigger and if you ask me he's already big enough. Ally likes to run along the fence with him but he isn't that big on running, he'd rather try to dig to China, I wish I could get a good shot of the holes he's been digging. Oh, Junior is the one standing on his hind legs, he was born in mid July of 2017.

Oh wow, that's gotta be hard on ya. I feel so sorry for Junior sometimes, he's still a puppy and just wants to be loved but no one has bothered to work with him so he has no manners. He likes to try to hug but he's so big he hurts people, poor lil boy.

He sure is a big one - his face looks less like a puppy here! Wow, almost a year already!

@rebelann How do they deal with all those holes? I'm sure Junior's got the strength and paws for it!

Honestly I don't know @much2say the hubby was gone for a month to tend to some property in Guadalajara so now that he's back he might be able to get poor Junior to mind him. Lord knows Junior isn't dumb.

Yeah, he really has matured and doesn't really look much like a puppy anymore but he acts like one. Thankfully he is sweet natured.

They love to dig, and rip bits off bushes and chew them into little bits... And moths or midges, he loves just chasing and snapping at them, I'll bet.

Sounds like you're having similar issues with your pup, he's about the same age, correct?

@rebelann Not an issue, just an observation. The same age, yes. I am sure the 2.5yr old Lab eggs him on, though...

Leah did not stop growing until she was toward 2 years old. She looked leggy for over 2 years. Some dogs are late bloomers and that is Leah.

The large breeds tend to grow one way or another for about 2 years so that isn't a surprise but what worries me is just which way is Junior going to grow, he's already well over 85 lbs and if he gets any taller he'll be able to simply step over that 4 foot fence which might pose a problem for me if he starts visiting me when I'm out watering. This poor baby has no manners because his people don't spend much time with him.

Yep, that's Junior @sallypup he gets so excited when people are around that he barrels into them so they'll hug him, he has no clue just how big he is and how dangerous it is for his people .... personally I just don't get why people get dogs then ignore them all the time.

@rebelann You could end up being a doggie Grandma or Auntie- teaching manners as you go. The neighbor's Dobie was like that. I've taught my pups to never and I mean never barrel into me when they are playing etc. Dobie sure didn't have a clue.

Junior is a handsome dog. The one beside him looks like he might bite.

Princess is the one beside him and she is a sweetie, she'll bark a lot but I've never seen her become aggressive.

I agree, Junior is very big and I think now he will be filling out and gaining weight, he was 85 pounds a month ago.

The dog of the previous owner of our home has dug large holes all over the garden. We re-made the garden in full.

Some dogs really love to dig. I have been fortunate that I have only had one dog that was a true digger, the rest of them were mostly in the house with me so they were not bored as much.

Many dogs do not do well if left alone inside an apartment or house @LadyDuck

@rebelann The dog of my niece lived in the apartment and she tried all the time to "dig" the floor.

Yep, he sure is. Now that he's almost a year old he'll most likely simply fill out, the problem with that is that at 8 months old he was already 85 lbs and when he jumps against my fence you can see how it gives so what the heck will happen if he gets up to 120 lbs and jumps against my fence? I know he wouldn't want to hurt me but if he does get over that 4 foot fence he might want to jump all over me for pure joy, that could be dangerous for me and for Ally. Thankfully he was neutered.

@rebelann Hopefully, he won't attack you or Ally. The owners should take care of that fence.

My relatives have their dogs dug and dug around their fences, just to wander around the neighborhood. (They got fined quite a few times when they had to go collecting their dogs back from the dog pound (or whatever they call it).)

I pray that Junior doesn't get loose, there are a couple of bozos living around here that would shoot him, I'd hate for that to happen.
