50 to 75 % insect loss? Wow. That is about as bad as it can get at 1 C.

How much time before we reach Zero Insect loss? IN other words, the point where there are no insects left? I have been watching this guy on YouTube, Black Bear News and he has been providing some real time news on global climate change. CFC-11 is not good because someone is making it and it is a threat to the ozone layer, results could be catastrophic if allowed to continue indefinitely. Of course everybody knows that right? You may like to look at this video or not. In any case, I hope everyone at myLot is doing fine on this Sunday evening, 5.20.2018.

I was seeing a bit about they are teaching children at school over here to care about bees and how they can and why we need them too. We need all insects also whether they be the ones we like or do not like.

Remember when DDT was commonly sprayed in the atmosphere and people were inhaling it? Boy, do we have a lot to learn from our past mistakes. Roundup is a product that is regularly sold. I wonder if that chemical has a downside to it's effects on insects and for that matter, the ground water we all drink?

@lookatdesktop Here they are being targeted and killed so the program in the schools was great fun as children want to love them and not do away with them. They were all dressed up as bees that day bless them.

bees are an endangered species.
Seven species of the yellow-faced bee, which is the only bee native to Hawaii, have been designated as endangered. They're known for their yellow-to-white facial markings.

Hi Anthony. It is really devastating to know that are ozone layer is depleting. But if the insects would be gone, it is not a good indication for us as they are part of the ecosystem.

Well I do not count the number of insects I find around the house. If I had a million years to count them I would not do it even then. But somebody must be counting. If so, I hope they do not loose their minds.

With society and nature going as it is a few years in my opinion. We have put stress and a toll on our environment and now we have noticed the decrease its not long before they are completely gone.

I do not like the idea. It is something that many people are concerned about and half of them are more or less worried about which insects will become extinct in the next several decades or sooner. We all need to focus on this. If we pretend it isn't happening, that will not make it go away. But if we try to learn to appreciate the natural world around us, we might have at least a chance to remember it when they are all gone.

selfishness and greed I say. Some people just think of themselves.

Well if they had a moment to really think, they would realize they are hurting not only the environment but themselves in the long run. Eventually Karma has a way of hitting us all in the end. I wonder if anyone is really doing a spot check on both the ozone hole and it's exact location if it is somewhere on a map and keeping watch. Also I wonder if people are just living in complete denial and turning a blind eye to everything.
