Since the penny stores or no more why did they get rid of the 2 dollar bill its not in circulation no more. Nothing in this day or ago cost dollar but maybe a cheeseburger and that doesn't ever cost a dollar it cost a dollar 6 cent. So why did the 2 dollar go out of circulation why was it as important as a dollar bill and why is it still usable if your lucky to get one.

Kinda confused, as some still get $2 bills, and there are things for $1.. like everything at Dollar Tree. Plus many places have candy bars, or hot wheel toys, or stuffies.

@mlgen1037 you wont find them in a cash draw at walmart or they will be harder to find then a dollar or 5 dollar bill or any other ones just banks carry them or people that save them

I have the same questions when the central bank here in the Philippines introduced lower denominations and stopped pressing higher value coins.

It's simple dollars and cents really as to why the $2 bill is not made, although it is still in circulation. There is no demand for them. If there is no one requesting $2 bills, namely the banks, there is no reason for the mint to print them.

@William21001 They are indeed rare, but I do come across at least one a year it seems. They aren't worth anything actually. Well, they're worth $2.
