And He Was Enjoying The Cold Environment!

It was too hot today, making the life miserable. Even in the late evening weather is still irritating and hot. Having completed my work when I entered my place I was too much drained and felt like taking some rest in my Bedroom. While relaxing there with AC on I was feeling bit better and all of a sudden I felt that the design of my Curtain got bit changed. When observed carefully there was a Garden Lizard sitting on it camouflaging himself very nicely. Because of entry into the room and turning on the lights might have disturbed him and he quickly disappeared behind the curtain. These creatures including, snakes sometimes enter through the small openings my window AC to have some cold environment inside. I think I stay on a farm and it is full of wild creatures, and that is common for us to have these creatures and we hardly mind their presence unless it is some poisonous snake that entered! Have you ever experienced anything like this at your place? Please respond! Your responses will be highly appreciated!

They actually hibernate during the winters and in summers they come out from their hiding places! Thanks for responding dear friend!

@mlgen1037 , Yes, if they feel that they can't feed on insects then! They are also creatures who can adapt to the climatic conditions! Thanks!

Even lizard likes the cool environment. It is so interesting. My family lives on the sixth floor and seldom see these creatures.

They are Garden lizards and like to live on the ground and in shrubs, though occasionally they may be seen on plants and trees! For them it is very difficult to climb sixth floor so you can't expect them to see at your home! Thanks!

Oh my! That would be scary for me to have a lizard or snake in my house! We just have spiders, ants, flies and bees that sometimes get inside. Just flying bugs. Well, some people have mice, but we have pet cats that mice are afraid of so no mice here.

Since we are staying on a farm and we have wild nature around we get to see many such creatures on day today basis! Mice is a common problem here as they come into the house to breed as they have ample of food to eat outside! Thanks!

I understand that these things enter in a place like a farm house or near the fields with lot of open area. I also see lots of snakes and other creature generally not found in dense city areas. I live in a vast open area on the outskirts of a big city.

Yes, you are absolutely true dear friend! Generally outskirts are closed to the wild nature and they tend to trespass! Thanks!

Last week, my younger son entered in bathroom then I heard a scream... he does this way for small things so I don't bother and did not respond. As he shows no sign of stopping I step in there to inspect. I saw a tail piece of a lizard, which scared with my son and left the edge of tail and disappeared. He saw only this tale and did not understand what is going on.

Wall Lizards they have the tendency to break their tail in emergency to escape and the tail wriggles as if there is life in it so that the attacker will get distracted to the detached tail and the wall lizard makes its smart escape! I am sure you must have seen a wall lizard with no tail or very small tail. This explains the reason for that! Thanks a lot for giving me an idea for one of my future discussions!

@AKRao24 Yes,we have only wall lizards in this place and most of them are small too. But this was not so small. I studied in school why they break their tail. But this kid thought a monster is there to harm him

Well lizards do roam around the house in summers. I find smaller lizards more troublesome as they are harder to detect and can easily fall on you or even get on the bed.

@epiffanie , OK, dogs don't like these creatures? I had a dog who never used to say anything to the mice entering the house! Some times they used to use him as a trespass!
