at the bottom

Tonight I shall dream of bottoms. And leggings. This morning's eyeful was courtesy of a bicyclist in cheap black leggings. I can inform you that she was wearing a tiny pair of black knickers, barely more than a bit of string. This evening I was treated to the very saggy, un-toned and bouncy bottom of a young {surprisingly slim} lady, her maroon leggings clinging tightly to every mound of cellulite. I don't have anything against bottoms. My own bottom is not worthy of a pair of leggings without a pretty tunic or dress to cover it up, but I'd like it if other people would kindly extend me the same respect and not shove their bottoms in my face. Oh, and the young chavster chatting to the old Irish drunkard at the bus stop? His exact words were, I'd stick it up her bottom, when a pretty girl walked past. What. The. Fandangly. I wanted to ask him if he actually thought he could pull such a pretty girl in the first place, but he is a tad scary, in a bewildering innocently backwards way. There's life Jim, but not as we know it! Ho-hum.

@poppylicious I don’t really need to see people going about in their nothings. I am always tempted to tell people that the clue to underwear is that it goes UNDER the outer layer. It’s so good that it’s no longer fashionable to wear jeans half way down the buttocks.

Oh, yes. That fashion faux pas seems like a bad dream now. In Hairdressing classes at College the students are told that black leggings are okay to wear, but not the cheap ones because clients really don't want to be able to see your knickers.

@Poppylicious Showing the knicker line is not a good look.

@BearArtistLady I wonder why people think we need to see their drawers? I saw a young guy in front of me in town whose jeans were hung so low that they fell right down to his ankles while he was walking and he was holding a cup of coffee in each hand and in his panic he fell to the ground himself and I burst out laughing at him.

I fully agree, some bottoms looks better "fully covered". Anyway I do not care to see even a nice bottom, I think that a tunic to cover it is more appropriate in public. At home you do what you like.

@Poppylicious Very few, most bottoms look better "hidden".

I don't know ... I think that some bottoms deserve to be admired!

I find a lot of leggings don't look particularly attractive

@Poppylicious yes, but they look like something to wear in the gym rather than in the street

You do need the right figure to pull them off.

I don't mind them, but you do need a quality pair, and the bottom to carry them off!
