Four Days and Three Nights Through the Heart of Australia

The above photo is not the best, but possibly the best I took of the train, The Ghan, that I travelled on from Darwin through the heart of outback Australia down to Adelaide. This is taken from inside the bus, so is not as clear as it could be. I'm back home now, just, with so many stories and experiences to share. So bear with me, they'll appear when I get time. All I want to say now is that the trip was an amazing experience - great food, great off-train excursions, and lots of wonderful people. Well worth the money spent.

I'm glad you've had such a great experience. I've heard a couple of not-so-good reports recently about the Ghan so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Everyone on our train enjoyed it I think. yes, some things are a bit different but that was part of the adventure.

Nothing like falling to sleep with the rocking of the train! I'm still swaying at night even though I've been off the train for four nights.
