Funny Songs From Musicals Everybody Ought To Have A Maid

A favourite song from a movie for me is this unlikely number from A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. Dating from 1966, and performed by Michael Hordon, Zero Mostel and Phil Silvers. The stage musical opened in 1962. The song could have been very sexist but it is funny fpr being performed by middle-aged men in togas in an increasingly complicated comedy of errors set in ancient Rome. I love the film and all its songs but this was certainly the highlight. The scene on Youtube Arthur Chappell
