Where has the sun gone?!

Why is it that it can be beautiful sunny weather leading up to the time when I go on holiday and then the minute it's time for me to go it pours with rain! I'm due to go away tomorrow and although the long range weather forecast seemed good when I viewed it last week it seems to be veering towards showery weather now.
Oh well, I'm sure we will have a good time anyway. I'm taking my laptop so I might get the chance to post a little but the wifi isn't always that good there. I will be thinking of you guys so don't get up to too much mischief while I am gone! See you all when I get back at the beginning of June.

Once I was with my husband at the German North Sea coast in August. The highest temperature in the two weeks we stayed there was 12° C (53.6 F)! Later I talked to a friend who had gone there about two weeks after us. She came back with an impressive suntan and didn't know what we were talking about.

When I read the title of your post, my first thought was that you went on holiday to Florida where I live. We've been getting slammed with heavy rains for two solid weeks, and now we're dealing with tropical storm Alberto. Whatever you do, please don't come to Florida if you are looking for sunshine! lol
Anyway, no matter what the weather brings you, I hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy yourself!

I'm back and had a great time! No I didn't go to Florida and the weather was on the whole very good. We did have one bad day but there was plenty to do under cover. Most of the time I sat by the pool eating and drinking in the sunshine! Feeling a bit fat though so back to normal eating habits!

@moffittjc It wasn't far from where I live, only about 20 miles down the road. I'm a bit limited as I have a granddaughter and a dog who suffer from travel sickness!
. My granddaughter made it without incident but the dog didn't! It's a holiday park situated by lakes with an inside and outdoor pool, lots of activities for children and the most amazing range of food. We stay in a lodge which is privately owned and is let out quite cheaply,
