What lies beneath this 'love seat'? I will tell you

I designed this 'love seat' nothing great you might say but not after you know that the foundation of this seat is made up of solid garbage. The sold garbage consists of plastic bags broken glass, and other rubble - a collection of two years. A box was made with bricks and this stuff was packed in there Liquid cement was then poured to fortify it and pressed into place. It was then given a finish with a concrete base. This seat is almost 24 years old and still going strong. This is our way of solid garbage management.

Good idea! You could make a business of it. In Germany, recycling is a business. Plastic bottles are used to make benches for parks or raw material for weaving weatherproof clothes, for example. Glass bottles and jars are collected in containers which stand at street corners. Old clothes as well. The ones which are still good are sold in second-hand-shops. the rest is made into rags for cleaning machines. Paper (old newspapers, cartons) are collected by the community once a month. If only someone in your country had the initiative and started a recycling business. They would become stinking rich!

Yes, we already have such recycling policy in our country and there are many people who have already become rich by doing this business @MALUSE!

This could help raise levels and fill wells that are not potent. Even foundations for compound walls could be built with this stuff.

I am trying to imagine the feeling of sitting on top of a pile of garbage.

No one can make out it built by solid garbage. Great work indeed.

It is only its foundation that has solid garbage.

Nice! Now, there are some organizations who produce hollow blocks from plastic bottles and materials.

Fantastic ! I love it . Here in the Caribbean there are a few businesses that are doing quite well making furniture from recycled stuff.

If the foundation is well constructed the seat will surely last for many years.

That is actually really interesting. And amazing recycling garbage to make something. If the world did more of that, we would have less pollution.
