I Think the GDPR Frenzy Is Over

I have the equivalent of a first draft of a compliant privacy policy posted on all nine of my sites and I have opt in cookie notivations banners on all of them. Everything isn't perfect yet, but I hope it's at least passable until I can wrap my head around what I really need to say.
Maybe I can do something different and mostly offline tomorrow before I start seeing if those blogs were hacked when WordPress.com data was breached. I was told the crooks got access to my data. The fun never stops.
I think I'll go to bed pretty soon, I couldn't fall asleep until after 4 am this morning. I hope you had a better time than I did with whatever you wanted to accomplish today.

The deadline for DDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is today. It has been decided by the EU to protect the data and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. You can imagine how many emails I am receiving to confirm that I have read the regulations, I agree to continue to have business with that company and so and so... It's a mess.

@bagarad It's a very badly written Law and I am not surprised coming from a bunch of EU bureaucrats. They will need to give more time to people to comply and they will need to make some statements more "understandable". I know that some big US companies have decided to stop the visits from the EU countries. I am glad that Switzerland is not part of the EU.

@arthurchappell I at least know that my router wasn't hacked. I tested that today.

@Shellyann36 I guess I'll have to get used to it. I guess keeping up with all these changes is good exercise for my aging brain.

I don't know if I'll ever know. It's enough to make me want to completely unplug sometimes. Then I think how much I'd miss all my friends here and on Facebook and how convenient it is to pay bills online and not have to guess if the post office will get them where they need to go by the due dates.
