Good Saturday morning to all from this side of the planet, how is everyone? It is a weekend again and hopefully the site will have active and interactive mylotters today. My sister went to the city for her own errands. This morning, she cooked chocolate porridge (champorado) and prepared us coffee. When we were seated for our breakfast, out of nowhere, she asked me; “What is pathologic?” That was what I thought when I told her something yesterday. Because she was forcing herself to cough, even though the cough is nonproductive, I asked her what is the color of the bronchial secretions coming out. She said it is whitish and not thick. “That is saliva”, I told her. But she was insistent that maybe she has a serious respiratory condition. I again asked her, “Surely it is not green, or frothy, or dark yellow. It would mean that is pathologic”, to which she said “no.” So, this morning before she asked me about ‘pathologic’, she remarked she did not sleep well last night despite taking antihistamine for her itchy hands. I had that in mind about ‘pathologic’ thingy, and I was right. I shouldn’t have mentioned that word to her; it will only make her more anxious and stressed.

Oh goodness, you should not tell her medical terms, she will use them the next time she sees the doctor to explain how sick she is.

@ridingbet Tell her, it is possible she is going to stop coughing.

hahaha! that is right. i just wanted to test her if she will ask me about what 'pathologic' means as regards bronchial secretions. right now, she does not cough continuously, but only at longer intervals. if she complains of nagging productive cough, i will tell her to consult a pulomonologist

Hi po. Good morning. Your sister gets paranoid with a certain word and seems to overthink?

yes hija. she is anxious if she feels something, asks me, and i reply with something she must not know and understand. you know, i am 'sutil' and 'pasaway' (bullying her).

@ridingbet hahaha... Does she know that you bully her or she is oblivious of it because she is too focused with the word?

@ridingbet Maybe she is an hypochondriac. That is also something that a doctor should decide so there´s no other ailment to be treated.

I suggested that she go to the hospital to have a check. The doctor will solve her problem.

@ridingbet As soon as she gets to the hospital, the staff in the hospital will tell her.

@caopaopao usually, the doctor will make a referral to the right specialist, that is why she should readily know which problem does she have a more serious condition with

yes, and she is thinking of what specialized doctor should she see first, a pulmonologist or an enterologist.
