Diary Thursday 24th May 2018 We had a group screening of the movie The Greatest Showman today. The film is under consideration for inclusion in our mental health awareness One In Four festival. The review I added on here for the movie shows that I disliked it, but I was outvoted with a 3 to 1 vote for including the film, effectively shortlisting it for possible inclusion now. That's democracy for ya! Diary Friday 25th May 2018 Some shopping today, and I got feedback from the agency who ran the course I was on last week. They notified me that I didn't get the job with the company they refused to identify for me. I actually felt for from either surprised or disappointed. In the evening I went to the true story telling event, but sadly, only two others turned up too this month so we cancelled the event. I went for beer with them and we had a very pleasant night of it. Diary Saturday 26th May 2018 A resting day, with lots of sleep, some flat tidying and generally chilling out. Youtube - The Silhouettes - Get A Job Arthur Chappell

We may be watching the Greatest Showman later tonight at our son's house. He has downloaded a heap of movies for us to choose from.

@arthurchappell We watched a Michael Caine film instead as we'd listened to his autobiography coming over from West Australia.

It must be difficult to feel anything when they won't even tell you what job you've failed to get. It seems mad to me.

@Poppylicious yes, the agencies often want to make you feel you are working for them rather than the companies. Their attitude is that as it is a job, you should be willing to take it no questions asked - they are usually companies who treat staff like cannon fodder, so if they have to sack you, there's plenty more people to shovel in - I hate such attitudes

Wishing you all the best in your quest for a job. I will be in the same boat when I get back to the U.S. in June. Only good thing is I will have an apartment in a friend's house and I will have money from the sale of my house so for a short while I can chill.
