Switching to Plan B

United States
May 27, 2018 8:10am CST
Yesterday started out with high expectations but I soon realized it was going to be a bust. My son in law came around 10:30am to power wash the deck. After a short while of struggling with the darn thing he realized that it wasn't going to work and there was something wrong with his power washer. So, my deck didn't get done. Now I have to move on to Plan B and see how to get it done before next Saturday. To save the day my daughter and I went to Michaels craft store and got a whole bunch of things. Michaels was having a big sale for the holiday weekend so we got some very good bargains. You know me, always looking for a bargain and working on crafts. Today I wanted to barbecue just because it's Memorial Day weekend and it's kind of the thing to do. But, the weather doesn't look like it's going to cooperate. The sky is dark gray and ominous looking and it looks like it could downpour at any given moment. So, once again Plan B in action. Without any idea of what Plan B is today I'm just going to have my coffee and see how the day unfolds. Happy Sunday! are you working on Plan A or Plan B today

I'll be working on Plan Y (yardwork). I'm always working on Plan Y this time of year. BTW, isn't Plan B that emergency contraceptive pill?

Perfect way to spend the day....at the ocean!! I'd have to travel over 3 hours to get to the ocean and I do miss it.

I will bring an umbrella with me when I go out, just in case. Whatever the plan or no plan, have fun!

@Marilynda1225 Thank you! I brought my umbrella but the wind picked up so much and I made it home before the rain.

Oh, how disappointing that power washing is. I hope you can move to a Plan C if need be. Our barbecue is tomorrow, but we barbecue all the time when we are home. We have a function to go to tonight, so will eat there. The last thing we grilled were ribeye steaks and that was on Thursday.

We bbq all the time too but it just seems like it's a tradition to fire up the old barbie over the Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy your weekend!!

That's too bad about his power washer. Can he rent one to get it done for you? Enjoy your barbeque. We've been grilling our suppers here because its been so darned hot out, and I hate to cook inside and heat up the house. Tonight will likely be steak-that seems to be a Sunday staple.

If my other son in law can't borrow a power washer then we'll probably have to rent one. Whatever works best for the guys works for me. I hate to have to depend on them to do this stuff but I'm thankful they are willing to do it. We generally bbq all the time but it just seems traditional to fire up the old barbie on this holiday weekend.

Yes, I had to resort to Plan B today. We were going out for lunch, but my husband didn't feel like it. So I cooked us steak (I think I got the short straw there!)

It's always good to have Plan B to fall back on. Sometimes I have a C and/or D just in case!
