I haven't been here since probably last Friday. My mom and I went away for the weekend. She took me to NYC. A slightly belated birthday gift. It was to celebrate me turning 30. It was a nice trip.
It might also be a bit of a busy time around here, as we're going to be moving. Our rent is just becoming a bit much, and it would be easier to find something a little easier. Plus, we don't like the girl at the office. She's not pleasant to deal with.As sad as it is, it's probably for the best.
Anyway, that's it for not. I'll be hitting notifications soon.

Nice!!! I hope you enjoyed NYC. I love it here. I have lived in Brooklyn all my life. I know you were in Manhattan. I hope you find a place for cheaper rent. I know the feeling. Nothing is cheap anymore. And we are all being priced out of everything.

It was a really nice trip. And yes we were in Manhattan. We were like a block away from Time Square, which was cool. There are a few places that I want to call, as it seems that the rent will be cheaper. Hopefully, it goes well. Hopefully, I can also get some work which will help. Things are just so expensive.

@inertia4 Things do sometimes need to change. I do admit that I do like our current government for the moment, but there are still probably some corrupt people. Manhattan is pretty busy. Sometimes it's nice to have our own little corner of things.

@dodo19 Tell me about it. I know prices just keep going up all over the place. There has to be a breaking point. I guess we need to remove all the corrupt people from our political offices. Then maybe things will turn around. Yeah, Manhattan is a crowded and busy place. I don't go there much at all. I stay in Brooklyn mostly.

I hope you enjoyed your birthday trip to NYC! It's my favorite city, and I usually go every year for my birthday (which, ironically, is tomorrow). However, this year I passed on the opportunity to go, since my daughter will be graduating from high school two days after my birthday. I felt it was more important to spend my time and money on her special day instead.

It is definitely a fun city. I definitely enjoyed this trip. It was a good birthday trip. Happy birthday by the way! I do understand. I'd probably pass on the trip as well, if my kids were graduating high school. Some things are just more important. Besides, there's always next year.

@dodo19 Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a great day celebrating. Not NewYork style celebrating, but fun nonetheless! And I will definitely be back to NYC next year for my birthday, if not sooner. Glad to hear you had a really fun time. It's always nice when you can do something fun and exciting on your birthday!

It was a really amazing gift from my mom. This was my third visit, although I haven't been since I was a teen. It's a shame. I could have seen you!! oh well, we'll have to plan it better next time.
We haven't found a place yet, but we have seen a few listings. I'll be making some calls tomorrow.

Nice that your mother treated you to a trip like that.
From what I'm reading in the news, high rent can be attributed to the boom in the real estate market, although annual increases are regulated, they creep up also.
I hope that you find a new place, are you moving for June 1?
