Yes I'm still among the living just well between school and trying something new to bring in a little money time is even more of a problem for me. I keep wanting to come and then at night just find myself so tired that I don't even have the energy to do that. Anyways we have just been trying so hard to catch up on all the schooling that we are behind on. Not sure we are going to make it but we are trying. My mom kind of upset me as she keeps going on and on about just Tessa and yes there is room for improvement there HOWEVER I was so sick that there were days I could not work and help her with the things she needed to learn. Some days there was no way to help and be a teacher. Yes I was that bad off. Now if to decide if we will continue her classes this way which is 1 hour a week online with the teachers each (so 4 hours being taught by them and the rest by me) or try the other way where she is on line 5 hours a day with the teachers and has homework every night in each class. I know which would be easier on me but I want her to learn too. We are working on it now as I type as she is taking notes. I think the thing that really bugs me, well one of the things is even if we are on pace with the day we are suppose to be doing when she goes into class with the teacher they do a total different subject I don't get that. Right now my big complaint is they only allow 1 ink cartridge and yes I am out of ink again. So here we are buying it again. For some it might not be a big deal but for us it is. OKAY done complaining about school. It is what it is and nothing I can do about it really. That said... We had a small get together with some of the kids and grandkids and that was a good time. The lawn got mowed and then we worked on yep school! lol Hubby again over did it while we were in here doing school, he was outside and once again got heat stroke. He made it in and I made him a water with salt in it and got him cooled down and then yes, yelled at him. I told him he was staying in the rest of the day and that was that. I'm still working on the infection wondering if the doctor gave me a strong enough antibiotic as it has gotten better but it isn't gone. So not sure what to do about that. So yeah my life has been basically the same so far. I am looking forward to this weekend thou as the garden will be put in. Even thou I'm in a time crunch I do think and wonder how others are doing here. So yeah I might not be here often but I have not forgotten you guys. So what have you been up to? Hope life is being good to you.

I'm glad your husband is recuperating, after getting to warm outside! That's dangerous:( And Tessa, she will adjust to her schooling, when her attention span is longer. As kids mature, they learn to concentrate better. I hope your infection will be cleared up, real soon.

Sorry to hear about all the schooling frustrations! If it would be easier on you, perhaps it's time to have Tessa do 5 hours with the teachers online each day. Could you try out that option and if it doesn't work out for her, switch back to how you've been doing it? Also sorry to hear about your hubby suffering heat stroke! Smart thinking on your part to rehydrate him with water with salt mixed in. I need to remember that in case the need ever arises. That's a shame the antibiotics haven't cleared up your infection yet. I hope it completely clears up soon. My life is the same ol', same ol'...I was out all day yesterday and overdid it, just from tromping around one store and then having to stand in line for an hour (the Goodwill was having their annual 50 percent off Memorial Day Sale, and I found a stack of books I just had to have...) Still no word on surgery, I got ahold of the specialist's receptionist last week and she barked at me that it won't be until at least July because he will be out for most of June. When I said that I didn't want to have it too late in the summer, because my brother is getting married in August and I want to be able to travel for it, she got really snippy, like how dare I make plans! It's ridiculous it's taken so long to get this issue taken care of...if they poke around much longer the pain meds he prescribed me for post-op last October will expire, and I don't know if the pharmacy will even fill the stuff I haven't gotten filled yet. I may ask my primary doctor to refer me to a different oncologist...and this time I'll specify it needs to be an oncologist, not just some local Women's Health Center.

to avoid the heat stroke out here, people snack on things that have salt on them like lays regular potato chips, sunflower seeds, saladitos(slated dried plums) gatorade. give him a week before he can stay out for any length of time.
