“They are like two peas in a pod. BUT, HE is DEAD!!!”

My best friend and I are like two peas in a pod. We do things a lot together. But now, he is no longer here anymore. Joe is my friend way back in primary school. It was really like meant to be the best friend in life. To cut it short, he died a few months after our graduation in elementary. He was inflicted with a blood cancer or ‘leukemia.’ It was a heartbreaking moment when we talked for the last time in the hospital. A dying friend wanted to live longer. I was also confused at the age of 12 for seeing a young friend who has a lot of potentials in the future and died so very young. Thank you for reading this sad story. I just remembered my old friend. “Did you ever lose your best friend?” “Do you have a best friend that always on your back?” Image Credit: pixabay.com

I am really sorry for your loss. I have never lost any close friends but I lost one of my classmates. She grew up in a disoriented family. Her parents were never there for there. Growing up just made things more difficult for her. I still remember that day when we got the devastating news that she has ended her life.

@Shavkat Yes that's true. She had an unhappy childhood and I guess that had a negative impact on her as an adult. I just hope no one else ever has to go through something like this.

I am sorry to hear that. I am sure she is in good hand now. Sometimes I feel sorry for those people who have unsupportive parents. They are just simply selfish.

@Nawsheen Can I ask how old when she decided to end her life? I really feel bad for those children who were been abandoned by their biological parents.

I also sometimes think that it will never happen to me. Eventually, we cannot control this kind of situation.

I hope you will not experience it. But then, we cannot tell what will happen in the future.

That is very, very sad. He could have had such a bright future but his life was cut tragically short.

I agree. He was really too young. When we graduated in primary school, he was the second best in our batch. I felt bad because I know that he will be a successful person; if he is still alive at present.

It was really a sad story to end a life because of such illness. There is no other alternative to cure the disease but to delay it. I am sorry for your lost, too.
