A fire in a condo near Vero Beach Florida before dawn had only one person who needed treatment for smoke inhalation since Indian River County Deputies Romeo Santana and his partner Cameron White arrived to evacuate the residents of the Vista Royal condo. The fire at the condo began around 2 am on Saturday, the two deputies did their part to evacuate the residents of the condo before the Indian River County Fire arrived to put out the flames that destroyed the condo but thankfully no one passed away even though the deputies had to battle the intense blinding smoke from the fire to get the residences of had a difficult time getting out due to their elderly age or being in a wheelchair. The North Treasure Coast of the American Red Cross is assisting the 15 people that were displaced by the fire.

I live in the next county south of that one, Didnt know about this fire as there was another one close by too. Crazy how things happen just like that. Im glad the police department did what they could as they put there lives in danger all the time to protect there citizens of the county they work for. Truly heroic and amazing people though. Also glad the red cross can assist and help the families out.
