Happy Thursday all! Off to a sunny start here. I recently bought an unlocked Samsung Galaxy 7 and was disappointed to find out my current prepaid cell phone provider, Virgin Mobile, doesnt "do that" (most places you can pop a sim card in an unlocked phone and be done with it and use the unlocked phone). I was bummed to make this realization. It got me thinking however... what is keeping me with Virgin Mobile? I signed up for this at least 8 years ago. Its cheap and fits my needs.
$35 plus tax gets me unlimited minutes, text and so called unlimited data (which it is, but it slows down from 4G to 2G after a certain amount of Gigabytes, cant remember quite how many). Not a bad deal all in all. Plus I like the idea of not being contracted in. Win win.
Now I am perusing different prepaid plans to see which might work to switch to. Virgin Mobile only seems to sell iPhones and a very limited amount of phones on sites like eBay and Amazon.
I realize we are all from different places and have different services available to us. Out of curiousity, have you ever had a prepaid plan with a company? How much did or do you pay and for what type of service? Are you happy with prepaid?

This is a couple of weeks late, but Tracfone uses Samsung. I think it is cheaper than Virgin Mobile. I have used it for years and years, but I am not too good with a smart phone. I was thinking of doing Samsung next. I just spent 50 for talk text and data for 90 days, but it is not unlimited. However, if I do not use it all it all rolls over to the next time. Extra data only options are also available.

Never happy with prepaid. I just feel comfortable being on a postpaid plan. I find it every convenient.
