My Wife's Bitter

While with our friends in Adelaide, we visited a boutique brewery in a small town. They had some great names for their various brews including one called ‘My Wife’s Bitter’. Unfortunately the photo of the bottle is worse than useless so here is one barely any better of the resident Samoyed who walked around greeting everyone who walked in. The brewery was called ‘The Smiling Samoyed’ and the two-piece musical group was good too. And just so you get value for your reading time, the Samoyed is by nature a herding dog with a thick, white, double-layered coat. It may also be called the Bjelkier. It belongs to the spitz group of dogs. These typically have thick coats, often white and pointed ears and muzzles. The tail often curls over the back. The Samoyed at the brewery certainly had a beautiful coat. But back to the beer - do you know of any clever names for beer types?

Hi Judy. I actually thought it was a story about a man who has a bitter wife.

That's very striking name. I also find interesting when seeing some strange names named to liquor in bars.

They are very clever sometimes when naming new products.

@JudyEv I agree. It is a way of capturing the clients' attention. I had seen some weird drinks' names in other countries, too.

Those unique brewery names must be a sales gimmick.. The Samoyed is adorable!

I would have thought they would be quite common. They look much like a husky but are white.

Yes, a clever name to hook people into buying the drink, perhaps as a joke present for their wife.
