Diary Tuesday 29th May 2018 A quiet day in, with a venture out in the Sunlight to put some laundry out to die being my only venture beyond the confines of the house in daylight. It was going dark when I ventured boldly forth to fetch it back in. Diary Wednesday 30th May 2018 A proper and busy day out today. The university film festival group met for a collective screening of Coco (reviewed separately by me). This was followed by a visit to the community centre for some job search activity. I also got to renew my bus travel ticket to cover the full week ahead. Diary Thursday 31st May 2018 Another visit to the community centre job club, so not much activity beyond seeking employment. I was paid my monthly welfare money today, which should have happened at midnight, only to take place at 3AM instead. At least it was paid in full (last month it wasn’t paid until I complained. Diary Friday 1st June 2018 Almost a reversal of the events from Tuesday in that tis time I went to the community centre first, followed by a meeting with the volunteers team at the university. The community centre visit was to collect the weekly cheap discount close to its sell-by date food parcel. This is normally a Tuesday event but it was postponed due to the Bank Holiday on Monday. I helped one elderly lady get her heavy food parcels home and then, after bringing my own food home, I went to the meeting. This was a chance to meet representatives of other mental health awareness support groups, and to see the new website network that is still under development and looks very promising. I paid some bills on my way home and reached the house before the thunder storms started. Arthur Chappell

I am glad you received your monthly welfare money, at least they pay on the due day. There are all the time bills to pay at the end of the month.

@amadeo yes I hate bills - my bank account looks healthy until I remember they are going and they devastate it so much

Very worrying when payments don't come in on time and there are bills going out.

@asfarasiknow yes it could cause me huge problems with the bank if the money going out exceeds the income - I have severe debts as it is

Good that you got home before the storm started. Did it last long?

Glad you got home before the storms hit! I'm debating a bus pass this month!

@Daelii mine isn't a bus pass as such - just a weekly - sometimes monthly ticket that lets me ride the buses until the ticket runs out and I have to decide whether or not to get a new one

I will be taking washing to my son's today but I doubt it will get dry. I may need to finish it off in the dryers at the campground.
